Pioneer Day

Prince George Black Powder Gun Club

We had a fun, and educational day. These folks really went out of their way to show us a piece of living history. The weather was great and so was the company we kept.

Dennis, showing us the ways of a Pioneer.

Fire Starting made easy!

Hint number one, once you have a fire lit, light a candle. In case the fire goes out the work has been done, and it is easier to restart.

We were all given a chance to try our hand quilting.

Greg explaining leathercraft.

Everyone had a chance to make a pouch!

All definitely got a bang out of the mortar firing !!

We were even treated to hands on instruction in the use of muzzle loaders !

Tomahawks look easy to throw, on TV....

Our group would like to thank Patrizia for opening this day up for a Pack opportunity, Dennis and Greg for organizing the day for us, and all the Club members for being so kind and gracious in their time spent with us, this really was a great day out with our boys, thank you all, this is a day we will all remember.
